Bleeding But Unbreakable: The Ummah’s Legacy of Resistance

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious the Most Merciful

Every day, violence against the Muslim world intensifies. We watch aghast from our screens, our brothers and sisters in Palestine, Sudan, Yemen, Lebanon and beyond succumbing to the butchery of the Western imperial order. We turn to our Muslim leaders, who sit in gilded thrones, shaking hands with the killers of the believers.

Instead of sending armies to protect the Muslims, the borders are sealed, aid is denied and treacherous treaties are signed at the demand of America.

For the average Muslim, it feels like you’re living in a world surrounded by hypocrisy and oppression, where the oppressors are winning and the righteous are losing.

But the problem isn't the world itself.
It’s the Muslims, it’s our mindset.

Our pain is valid, the questions we entertain are understandable. However in despair, we are quick to revert to the same worry:

When will the victory of Allah come?

Allah tells us in the Quran:

Do you think you will be admitted into Paradise without being tested like those before you? They were afflicted with suffering and adversity and were so ˹violently˺ shaken that ˹even˺ the Messenger and the believers with him cried out, “When will Allah’s help come?” Indeed, Allah’s help is ˹always˺ near. 2:214

The Best of Us Have Suffered Before - And overcame

This struggle isn’t new. If the prophets—the best of creation—were tested beyond measure, what can we say?

How did Prophet Musa (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) feel as Pharaoh’s army closed in while his people despaired? How did Yunus (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) feel in the whale’s depths, swallowed by regret? How did Yusuf (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) feel, resisting sin only to be thrown into prison unjustly?

Trials are not proof of abandonment—they are the price of faith.

And how did our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ endure Taif—stoned, bleeding, abandoned?

Every prophet, every Ummah, has been tested. The trial is not the question—our response is.

As bombs fall on Palestine, as Sudan bleeds, we witness that same prophetic patience. They call upon Allah when the world looks away.

So must we.

Our History Tells Us, We are the Victors

Our history is the key to our victory. The history of our Prophets, the four rightly guided caliphs, the Umayyads, Abbasids and Ottomans. Across centuries our past provides the blueprint of how we view our trials, how we overcame and returned to glory.

Know your history. Claim your identity.

Stop asking "When is the victory coming?" Start asking "How will I fight for it?"

The Crusaders stole Jerusalem - Salahuddin reclaimed it. The Romans and Persians tried to erase us, only to become a distant memory.

The Mongols burned Baghdad to the ground. Then Qutuz crushed them at Ain Jalut.

Every time the enemies of Allah gathered to strike, we endure, we survive and return.

The Ottomans fell after WW1, with Western powers celebrating and dividing the Muslim world. Yet they cannot contain the billions of Muslims rising against them worldwide. We continue to find our voice, no matter how often it’s silenced.

The Battle Today—And Your Role in It

We are the generation that will be remembered.

Born after 9/11, raised under brainwashing and anti-Muslim propaganda—yet we held firm to our faith. We endured invasions, marched against occupation in Iraq and Afghanistan, and now declare our return to the Holy Land. Zionists pour billions into Hollywood to distract from their ethnic cleansing, but we will not look away.

We are the generation that rejects fascism, dictatorship, and the Jahiliyyah of Western democracy.

We educate ourselves and others, uniting for Allah—online and in person—exposing the violence and occupation in our lands. Every tweet, post, and video spreads the truth.

We boycott tyrants, expose hypocrites, and refuse to tolerate corruption and double standards.

We are ripe for the justice of Shariah to spread across the world. We are the followers of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. We are the greatest ummah and we will have the greatest victory.

So hold your head up high, for you are part of the greatest age - changemakers in a time ripe with opportunity.

Every action you do, every sincere act, know it’s for the sake of Allah and will bear fruit.

Be proud, strive and continue to resist - for the Muslims will be victorious on the Day of Judgement.
